The LG EnV is a phone with a secret: At a glance, it looks like a slightly bulky, run-of-the-mill candy bar-style phone. This phone opens horizontally and has a full QWERTY keyboard. Impressive multimedia feature set on this phone.

When closed, the handset sports a nice display, navigation controls, and a numeric keypad. The phone’s exterior has a nice-looking finish, but its external screen is small. At just 1.25 inches diagonally, the display is hard to see, and the empty space surrounding it could have been put to better use. The keys are easy to use.

The EnV provided reasonably good call quality. Some people notice background fuzziness on some calls, but most callers were easy to hear. Talk-time battery life was ok, not great: the EnV lasted around 5 hours which is not as good as many standard cell phones we’ve tested.

what happened to the speaker phone?
I got my phone a week ago and I have not run into any of the other problems (so far) folks seem to be having. Except for the speaker phone!!

Weak Sound
I bought this phone without checking it out. The sound is too low and the phone is slippery and hard to hold on to. I drop it everyday.

The stars are stuck. If they worked I would rate it a FIVE star. I got this phone when it first came out and have been very pleased with it.

The phone itself is good, but certain features make it VERY annoying
I have had this phone for over a year now, and I will tell you, its not that great. First of all, it has some serious issues with turning itself on.

Great if you like QWERTY
Well i’ve had this phone for about a year now. I’m buying the LG Venus tomorrow so i thought i’d give a review for the enV before i say goodbye to it.

Envied for my enV
This phone has worked well in the four months that I have owned it. I can say I haven’t had any real “major” issues.

Texter’s Best Friend
Got this phone a couple of months ago and I love it! The keyboard is it’s best feature and main selling point.
